Calculation method
How does the Crush Calculator work?
ToolZippy offers three distinct entertainment methods. The name method converts letters to numerology values; the birthday method uses numbers derived from dates; the zodiac method compares traditional astrological sign pairings. Each approach produces its own percentage and six themed breakdowns.
Expression Numbers and vowel-based inner numbers influence the result.
Life Path, Birthday Numbers and birth months are weighted separately.
Uses sign pairings and Fire, Earth, Air and Water associations.
How name compatibility is calculated
In the Pythagorean system, letters A–I have values 1–9, with the pattern repeated for J–R and S–Z. The calculator reduces the letter totals to Expression Numbers and calculates vowel totals as inner numbers. The overall name score weights Expression compatibility at 45% and inner-number compatibility at 55%. Repeating the same input produces the same result.
How birthday compatibility is calculated
The birth-date method uses three numerology inputs: Life Path compatibility (45%), Birthday Number compatibility (35%) and birth-month affinity (20%). Different birthdays can therefore produce different scores even when names remain unchanged.
How zodiac compatibility is calculated
Each of the twelve zodiac signs has a defined pairing score in the calculator’s entertainment matrix. The four traditional elements modify the six themed indicators. Astrology is not an evidence-based method for assessing relationship compatibility.
What do the six indicators mean?
Attraction, conversation, emotional spark, trust potential, dating energy and long-term potential are fictional score categories derived from the selected method. They are not direct measurements of a person’s feelings or behavior.
Can a low score mean your crush does not like you?
No. A low or high score cannot reveal whether someone is attracted to you. Real connections depend on mutual interest, respect, communication, consent and shared experiences. Use this calculator as a game or conversation starter rather than a relationship decision tool.
